This is the output from xev when pressing the key:

XlookupString gives 1 characters: "."

state 0x10,keycode 91 (keysym 0xffae, KP_Decimal), same_screen YES,
XlookupString gives 1 characters: "."
I believe the correct solution to this problem is to upgrade
to the latest version of XFree86.
