I have no experience with it.

If your asking me, it sounds very good. It's very tempting to look more into
it, at least for integrating in one of my systems (Not Skolelinux).
I'm really to wrong guy to ask though, since I don't know why SL chose NFS
at the time, and how much work it would be to integrate OpenAFS.
