Source of packages ------------------ I have preparred my own CD Image, which will be availible from: rsync -vt ftp.skolelinux.no::skolelinux-cd/debian-edu_sarge-powerpc-pr05.iso it's also availible from ftp://ftp.skolelinux.no/skolelinux-cd/debian-edu_sarge-powerpc-pr05.iso The image building script is avalible from the CVS for debian-edu on alioth.debian.org, as src/build/CD/buildCD. If I set up a combined server (main + thin client server), I normally use this schema / (root) 512 vg_system (lvm partition) 10GB vg_data (lvm partition) rest under vg_system I create the following partitions: /usr 4 GB /var 1 GB swap 512 MB under vg_data, I create the following partitions: /skole/tjener/home0 2GB /skole/backup 4GB Second stage installation ------------------------ Boot your installation by entering the following on the boot-prompt: boot hd:0 /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.8-powerpc root=/dev/hda1 ro For more information, please see http://developer.skolelinux.no/dokumentasjon/debian-edu_sarge_installation.txt
