Introduction
-----------

This was originaly an HOWTO based on the work in the test lab of BzzWare AS
http://bzz.no.
Now this is more a short abstract of the changelog for the latest
cd-image of Debian-edu, since the install now should work like a
breeze (no -not ubuntu, Debian-edu is a breeze to install)

Source of packages
------------------

This document is updated based on the content of the stable releease of
the sarge-based debian-edu
 debian-edu20r0-i386.iso

Download CD from developer: 
  rsync -vt ftp.skolelinux.no::skolelinux-cd/debian-edu20r0-i386.iso  de-sarge.iso 

It is also availible by ftp from 
 ftp://ftp.skolelinux.no/skolelinux-cd/debian-edu20r0-i386.iso


Changes from Debian-Edu/Skolelinux 2.0rc2 (Release Candidate) (r5911) to 
Debian-Edu/Skolelinux 2.0r0 (r5985)
---------------------------------------------

Fixed bugs:
#1072 - now the boot-help availible by pressing F3 before booting the
        CD displays the correct information

Security upgrades
gnupg
xpdf
libcurl
libgnutls
libtasn
tar



debian-edu-install is the same version as in rc2

debian-edu is the same version as in rc1

debian-edu-config ws uploaded into debian, and is "reversioned" 0.400
(from 0.399+svn5900)

First stage installation
------------------------
We use 2.6-kernel by default
for normal 2.6 kernel installation, press enter at the CD boot prompt
for normal 2.4 kernel installation, type linux24 at the CD boot prompt
for expert 2.4 kernel installation, type expert24 at the CD boot prompt
for expert 2.6 kernel installation, type expert at the CD boot prompt
for more info, please use the functions key "F1-F8"

Second stage installation
------------------------
Second stage of the installation seems to run just fine, but be please make
sure to read /var/log/base-config.log
